  • Short biography: Léonie Métangmo-Tatou is full professor (University of Ngaoundéré – Cameroon). Considering that language is at the center of all human activity and that the linguistic and cultural heritage constitutes a resource which, managed efficiently, is able to contribute to development, she founded at the University of Ngaoundéré a laboratory for Languages, Dynamics & Uses (LADYRUS) of which she is the scientific manager. In the same vein, she published in 2019 Pledge for development-oriented Linguistics. Her research work, the courses she teaches as well as her social commitment revolve around the multicultural dynamics experienced in Africa, in line with the demands of cognitive justice and consolidation of human capital; therefore, she is also interested in themes such as the circulation of knowledge, an open and inclusive science explicitly oriented towards human well-being. She is also the promoter of an action-research and vocational training structure in Ngaoundéré, Cabinet LOGOS. Léonie Métangmo-Tatou is a member of several academic associations, including the LIRAJ (International Laboratory for Action Research on Cognitive Justice, Open Science and the Commons).
