  • Short Biography: Dr. Eng. Jean Louis Fendji holds a PhD from the University of Bremen in Germany since 2015. His PhD work was focused on how to turn Community Telecentres into Community Networks in Cameroon to sustain local activities. He designed cost-effective wireless networks for rural areas using optimization techniques that have been deployed in the North Cameroon. In addition, he is developing relevant services for rural communities that leverage the potential of AI with a focus on Agriculture and Education. He is the author of fourteen publications in peer-reviewed journals, seven papers in peer-reviewed international conferences and two book chapters. He is currently a member of the Program Committee of the Summit on Community Networks in Africa, sponsored by ISOC.
