Areas of research: Valorization of mineral and energy resources and preservation of the environment.
Short biography: Mominou Nchare holds a Doctorate / PhD in Chemical & Process Engineering defended in 2008 at East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST), Shanghai, China. His doctoral research focused on the co-treatment of plastic waste with vacuum residues in the delayed coking process. Prof.Nchare is interested in transversal scientific activities using tools of chemical engineering, modeling, optimization, simulation and analysis of mineral and energy resources with a view to development. Prof. Nchare is currently Associate Professor and Head of Department of Mining Engineering, at the School of Geology and Mining (EGEM) of the University of Ngaoundéré where he teaches theoretical and practical courses in Chemical Engineering, extractive metallurgical processes, and petroleum technology. It works for the characterization, valuation, popularization and applications of mineral and energy resources in Cameroon. Prof. Nchare is the author of some fifty articles published in fields such as the synthesis, characterization and catalytic application of micro and nano porous materials; valorization of clays; biofuels; petroleum refining and mineral processing.
