Research areas: Modeling, control and optimization applied to physical and life sciences (Epidemiology and ecology, stochastic or deterministic scheduling, maintenance policy and production management, management and allocation of resources, regulation of machines and processes).
Short biography: Jean Claude KAMGANG holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics that has been prepared in University of Yaoundé I in Cameroon and University of Lorraine in France and defended in september 2003 with honors at the University of Lorraine, France. His PhD research work focused on control and stabilization of mechanical systems, analysis and modeling of epidemiological system. Pr KAMGANG is very interested in cross cutting scientific activities that valorize mathematical and computational tools for modeling, simulation, analysis and optimization of physical and life sciences for development assistance. Pr KAMGANG is currently Professor at the National School of Agro–Industrial Sciences (ENSAI) of the University of Ngaoundéré where he teaches theoretical and practical courses in numerical methods, linear algebra and analysis, and chemical reactor and process modeling, tools and technics for the simulation of those systems. He is the leader of the lab of experimental mathematics (LAMEX). Pr KAMGANG has supervised five PhD thesis in mathematics and Comp Sci and several theses of master II of research always defended. has published 21 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and 13 papers in national and international conferences.
