Research areas: Interfaces Physico-chemistry and industrial processes.
Short biography: Prof. Jean Baptiste BIKE MBAH is a research professor at the Department of Applied Chemistry of the National School of Agro-Industrial Sciences (ENSAI) of the University of Ngaoundéré, Cameroon. His teaching activities take place in different fields of engineering training at ENSAI and the research master’s cycle at the Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Ngaoundéré. His contribution covers three main areas of teaching; in particular, the refresher courses axis, the fundamental inorganic chemistry axis and the applied inorganic chemistry axis. In terms of research, its research activities are focused on the theme “Materials, industrial processes and environmental protection”. All of his research therefore falls within the framework of the valorization of Cameroonian materials in industrial processes and environmental protection. The developed component concerns the valorization of natural geological materials (clay, volcanic slag and volcanic ash) and lignocellulosic waste (Agro-industrial by-product, household and agricultural residues, etc.) in adsorption processes for oils refining and water treatment and in the development of geopolymer cements for civil engineering applications and sustainable construction. Pr. Jean Baptiste BIKE MBAH has published 10 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and 4 papers in national and international conferences. He supervised 10 Masters, more than 70 Engineers 5 Doctoral Theses in progress.
