Short biography:
Yvette JIOKAP NONO is an Engineer of Agricultural and Food Industries from ENSIA-SIARC of Montpellier-France. She holds a PhD in Biotechnology and Food Industries defended in January 1997 with the highest honor, at the National Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine (INPL) of Nancy-France. Her doctoral research was carried out alternately between Cameroon, where she taught at the University of Ngaoundere, and the Laboratory of Chemical Engineering Sciences (LSGC) of the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) of Nancy. The work focused on the study of the influence of hydrodynamic and physicochemical parameters on the efficiency of elimination of bacteria from milk, by tangential microfiltration (Modeling of transfer mechanisms). Pr JIOKAP is very interested in developing and finding technical solutions to African problems in the fields of food transformation/preservation/formulation, bioenergy, equipment designs as well as the development of small software and use of IT tools to facilitate the implementation of processes. Pr JIOKAP provides scientific and technical support to several Cameroonian industrial Societies, interested in the preservation and/or transformation of our local resources and the recovery of the waste generated. She is also the technical advisor and scientific supervisor of several young entrepreneurs in the field. Yvette JIOKAP NONO is currently Associate Professor at the University of Ngaoundere, where she teaches several theoretical and practical courses in the technological establishments of this university (DUT, BTS, Professional license and engineering schools), as well as in the doctoral training cycles in process engineering and food sciences and nutrition. The courses taught are: Optimization of Processes, Mechanical Unit Operations, Transfer Phenomena, Milks and Dairy Products, Packing and Packaging, Advanced Unit Operations, Advanced Separation Methods, Energetics and Thermodynamic Quantities, Modeling of Convection Drying, Drying and Preservation Processes, Food Engineering (Rheology, Texture and Texturing), Project Engineering, Introduction to Process Science, Heat and Mass Transfer. She has also taught some of these courses in engineering schools abroad (France). Pr JIOKAP is a member of four laboratories of the University of Ngaoundere: Laboratory of Bioprocesses (LBP), Laboratory of Analysis, Simulation and Testing (LASE), Laboratory of Engineering Chemical and Environment (LGCE), Laboratory of Reactions, Extraction, Sugar and Oil mill (LARESH ). She is Head of four Research Teams: Head of the “Drying and renewable energies” team of the LARESH, Head of the “Energy and Processes” team of the LGCE, Head of the “Development of New product” team of the LBP and Head of the “DEPT: Development of IT equipment and tools / Energies / Processes / Agro-food and chemical transformations” team of the LASE. These research teams are multidisciplinary teams, made up of students, researchers and industrialists based in Cameroon and abroad. With more than a hundred supervised students, she is a member of the review committee of several scientific journals. Pr JIOKAP has published twenty-six (26) articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and twenty-one (21) papers in international peer-reviewed conferences.
