Short biography: André TALLA holds a PhD in Industrial and Mechanical Engineering, Energy specialty, defended in 2003 with honors and congratulations from the Jury at the National Advanced School of Engineering – University of Yaoundé I, Cameroon. His PhD research work, carried out jointly with the National Advanced School of Arts and Crafts of the University of Bordeaux, focused on the hygroscopic characterization of tropical products with high water content with the development of a semi-industrial size electric dryer prototype. Pr TALLA is very interested in transversal scientific activities promoting South-South and North-South expertise. Pr TALLA is currently Associate Professor at the National Advanced School of Engineering – University of Yaounde I, where he provides many teaching units, in particular Fluid Mechanics and Turbomachinery, Continuum Mechanics, Industrial Thermal and Refrigeration, Energy Optimization of industrial systems, Project Assessment and Management, Applied Thermodynamics and Heat Exchanges, In-depth Sensor Technology, Applied Hydraulics, Practical Energetics. In the same institution, he assumes responsibility for the numerical control machining laboratories (CNC lathes and CNC mills). Pr TALLA is also Head of the Department of Environmental Engineering at the National Advanced School of Public Works – Yaoundé. Pr TALLA has published 25 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals, a book published in the European University Editions and numerous communications in national and international conferences. In addition, two books, relating to renewable energies of which he is a co-author, are in edition in Harmattan.
